Besides what we eat, the toiletries that we use also determine our chemical load on our body. Hence, its important to know what's in the toiletries that we use on a daily basis. During my 5D4N stay in Bangkok, I packed up some of my essentials to take on this trip to minimize my exposure to harmful chemicals and provide nutrients for my skin.
Even though I was going to be up for an action-packed day taking my boy out to playgrounds to play, it should not impact my skin at all. As such, I need to arm myself well with protection and nourishment! Here are the few simple items I had put together for the trip.
The common ingredient that runs through all these six items is Oxyginberry Complex. Oxyginberry complex is the extract from the ingredients of oxyginberry to deliver its goodness to our skin in a form for us to apply on. Let me share more about the items I had packed in.
Oxyginberry Essence is mainly made up mostly of oxyginberry complex. Making it a very concentrated form of nutrients easily delivered into our derma. The lightweight essence is easily absorbed. With the precious nutrients absorbed, our skin renewal and repair is enhanced.
Besides oxyginberry essence, this eye essence mainly use rose extract to provide a gentle but nourishing combination for our thin and fragile skin around our eyes. It adds hydration and forms a protective barrier against environmental stressors.
This is a very lightweight moisturiser cream which provides a good source of ceramides as a protective layer to prevent inflammation or redness on our skin. This comes after the oxyginberry essence to lock the nutrients into our skin.
With lots of sun exposure in Bangkok, I definitely could not miss out my sunblock lotion. Its always best to prevent the spots from happening before they even appear. Sunny Time is a non-sticky formulation which is very suitable for hot and humid climates, like in Singapore, Bangkok and most parts of South East Asia as well.
This acts both as my cleanser and make up remover. As my cleanser, I would just need a small dollop, rub it between my palms until it foams slightly. As a make up remover, I would need to rub it into my makeup to dissolve it before rinsing off. The after-wash feel is clean, yet moisturised. Definitely not dry and tight. I have dry skin, so I prefer to avoid washes which dry out my skin further.
To maintain my nice wide smile, I can't do without my happy toothpaste. It contains hydroxyapatite which has repair, whitening, anti-cavity and anti-bacterial properties. This toothpaste is free from all unsafe chemicals such as triclosan, sodium lauryl sulphate, fluoride, abrasives and bleaching agents. In effect, it delivers what we want in a toothpaste, but without all the harmful chemicals, reducing the chemical load on our body.
Despite the sunny weather, my skin is well protected and feeling great. These few items bring about the convenience of safe items to use on an overseas trip just like this!
